A crown court trial has been scheduled after an Abbots Langley man was charged with sexual assault.
Thomas Wheeler, 29, is due to appear in Maidstone Crown Court on November 16 charged with sexual assault on a female and common assault of an emergency worker after alleged offences on June 29, 2019.
Last week, on October 19, he appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded not guilty or did not enter a plea, before the case was sent on to crown court for trial.

Wheeler, of Woodside Road, allegedly touched a woman over the age of 16 in a sexual manner when she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe she was consenting in Sittingbourne, Kent.
It is further alleged that he attacked a male police officer “acting in the exercise of his functions” in the same town on the same day.
He was granted bail.
