A farmhouse rumoured to be built using defeated ships from the Spanish Armada is on sale for more than £1,000,000.
The 16th century home in Bullsland Lane, one mile from the centre of Chorleywood, has been put on the market by estate agent Savills but is in need of “total refurbishment”.
Offers in excess of £1,150,000 are being sought.

The grade II listed detached building has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an entrance hall and three reception rooms, kitchen, large cellar, drawing room, utility room and dining room.
Peter Everett, from Savills, described it as “a rather special and historic farmhouse in need to total refurbishment”.
The company's property brochure adds: "[The farmhouse] dates back to the 16th century.
"It was rumoured to have been constructed from the remnants of defeated ships from the Spanish Armada."
Listed building consent for internal alterations to refurbish the site and building was granted by Three Rivers District Council on October 16, which the listing for the property highlights as “saving any purchaser many months of pre-build discussions and a significant cost saving”.
It is within The Bullsland Estate, which is a private gated development made up of 11 heritage buildings and new builds over 200 acres of countryside.
The estate agent added that the building is next to a large paddock, available to purchase by separate negotiation, and there is further land available to rent.
