The reopening of a Watford post office, that was closed due to a fire, has been delayed.
The Pond Post Office at 145 The Parade was due to reopen yesterday (Friday, October 20), after a fire had caused its closure on April 7.
However, a statement released by Watford's MP Dean Russell, revealed that the service has now been scheduled to reopen at 9am on Tuesday (October 24).
The update on behalf of The Royal Mail read: "We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by delay and the temporary closure.
"Posters will now be displayed at the branch premises, so customers are aware of the change.
"If there are any unforeseen changes to the opening date, posters will be displayed at the premises to let customers know.
"In the interim customers may continue to use any Post Office branch for everyday Post Office products and services."
