“Dangerous” sewage water has flooded out onto a field used by walkers.
The spill, off Aldenham Road near Letchmore Heath, sparked fears from passers-by and was reported to Thames Water, which investigated but has not yet been able to fix the issue due its location.
A walker raised concerns that it could pose a "danger" to people, pets, and wildlife.
Yesterday (October 13), Thames Water spokesperson said: "We responded to reports of a sewer flood in a field by Aldenham Road in Watford on Saturday October 7.

"Our engineers attended the same day, however due to the terrain and location of the flooding, our teams require specialist equipment to carry out the investigations. This is expected to take place over the course of the next week.
“We would like to reassure customers our teams are working to resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible."
The spill is away from the walking path and just south of the Bhaktivedanta Manor boundary fence.
According to the Thames Water's problem reporting map, another sewer flooding issue was reported across Aldenham Road from it, near Aldenham Preparatory School.
Repair "planning" is currently underway for that issue.
