Police have made an arrest after a man reportedly tried to lead a child away from a Watford park.
Investigations are ongoing after the 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of child abduction on Saturday (October 7), Herts Police confirmed.
The force added that an attempt to lead a child from a park in Lower Paddock Road had been reported at 3.25pm that day, before officers quickly attended the scene.

As of Saturday evening, the man remained in custody.
A spokesperson for Herts Police said: “We can confirm we are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident and the child is safe and well.
“We’d like to thank members of the public who have assisted us so far.
“Please refrain from any speculation as this is a live investigation and we will provide updates when possible.”
Anyone with information who is yet to speak to police is asked to call 101 quoting ISR 478 of 7 October.
Update: Herts Police have confirmed that the arrested man has been detained under the Mental Health Act.
