A teenager has been charged with robbery after boys “just spending time with their friends” were targeted.
Herts Police arrested a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, after two 13-year-olds, who were together on Chorleywood Common, were allegedly threatened with violence and forced to hand over Apple AirPods at 5.40pm on Sunday (October 1).
The force attended “immediately” and had made an arrest within two hours of being called, after carrying out "some initial enquiries”.

Officers recovered the stolen earphones from an address in Chorleywood, along with a small amount of cannabis.
The 16-year-old is due to appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court next week.
Charged with two counts of robbery and one count of possession of a class B drug (cannabis), he was remanded into police custody before being released by the court under “strict” bail conditions.
Detective Inspector Dan Bhamra said: “This incident left the victims and their families understandably upset, as the boys were just spending time with their friends on the common when they were targeted.”
