Proposals have been submitted to turn a house into a children’s home.
If approved, the home, ran by Bethel Children’s Care, will be for children from across Hertfordshire.
The organisation is asking for change of use for the end of terrace home in Thumpers, Hemel Hempstead.
If accepted, the five-bedroom family home would be for children from the ages of eight to 15 years-old who are experiencing emotional and behaviour difficulties.
The application, which was validated on October 2, has said that accommodation will be provided for up to three young people at a time.
There will be a minimum of three staff on site daily to provide the appropriate level of care and safeguarding.

No external changes will be made to the building. The ground floor will consist of a lounge, restroom, shower room, kitchen, utility and a bedroom.
The first floor will contain two bedrooms, an office room, and a bathroom. There is also an outbuilding that will be used as the main office and rest room (bedroom and bathroom) for all staff.
Off road parking is available for two cars at the back of the property and a vehicle will be available to take the young people to school and necessary appointments.
