Between 7.30pm and 8pm on Wednesday (September 27), the boys were approached by three unknown males in Gateshead Road.

The teens had just left Aberford Park when two of them received stab wounds, and the third was also injured.

All three were taken to hospital with injuries that were not described as life threatening or life changing.

Detective Sergeant Daniel Webb said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and we are continuing to appeal for information.

Hertsmere Borough Council's Cllr Christian Gray added: "We have been speaking with local residents about this incident and know that people are feeling anxious.

"We work with our police colleagues and other partners in the Community Safety Partnership to tackle anti-social behaviour and criminality within the borough and support our communities in creating a safe Hertsmere.
