An operational fault has cancelled all services on a Watford line with no trains expected for three and a half hours.
The Abbey Line, between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey, is blocked due to a fault on a train this morning (September 28).
London Northwestern Railways has said it has ordered replacement buses so that people can still get between the stations. The buses are expected to replace trains until 12pm.

National Rail highlighted that people facing delays today may be entitled to compensation and reminded travellers to keep their tickets if planning to make a claim.
Other stations on the line, Park Street, How Wood, Bricket Wood, Garston, and Watford North will have no trains serving them.

Tickets can be used on the Arriva Buses 321 by any reasonable route.
This morning, services were also cancelled between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes due to overrunning engineering works which have now cleared.
That disruption was a due to separate issue.
