A school in Kings Langley has been given a "good" Ofsted rating after an "ungraded inspection" took place.
St Paul's Church of England Primary School, Langleybury Lane, has been labelled as having a “broad and ambitious” curriculum by inspectors.
The report, published on September 26, also described students as “very happy to belong to St Pauls’ Church of England School” and they “enjoy an engaging curriculum”.
It also found teachers have “strong subject knowledge” and “explain things clearly to pupils”, despite in some subjects the “leaders have not set out the key content they want pupils to learn”.
Michelle Cohen, headteacher, said: “Despite being ready for a well-deserved long break after a busy year, the staff and pupils were amazing and this shines through in the report.
"We are proud that our work that goes beyond the standard curriculum has been recognised."
The school had previously been graded as “good” in September 2013, then in February 2018 had a short inspection where it remained the same level.
An ungraded inspection took place in July this year to confirm it still remains a "good" Ofsted rated school.
Staff were found to be “confident reporting concerns about adults and children” with the safeguarding being “affective”.
The headteacher added: "We are a family here at St Paul’s and we love to work alongside the community to show our care for others too.’’
The inspection had deep dives into subjects such as reading, maths and geography, which included speaking to teachers and pupils about the work and looking in children’s books.
It was the first inspection since the Covid-19 pandemic for the school which has 214 students aged three to 11.
Miss Cohen said: "The next steps for the staff are to focus on the improvements Ofsted has recommended, continuously raising the standards for our pupils.”
The school is a Church of England school and integrates this faith into all aspects of school as well as “pupils having a range of experiences” and “benefit from taking on pupil leadership opportunities”.
It is also an OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) school which gives children the ability to learn through play and spend time outdoors.
