Offices above a high street bank are set to be turned into flats after a plan was green-lit.
The three-storey Santander building in Rickmansworth High Street has been vacant for two and a half years, according to a planning application submitted to Three Rivers District Council in June.
The proposal to change the first and second floors' use from offices to residential and create two flats was granted prior approval yesterday (September 25).

Santander’s former unit, on the ground floor, is currently on the market at £42,000 per year.
The two flats would each take up a floor and contain a bathroom, lounge/kitchen, and a bedroom.
Batchworth Community Council had objected to the plan due to concerns over the bin arrangements, potential noise issues from the nearby The Pennsylvanian pub, access, and the fact that it reduces the number of available offices in the town.
A condition of the approval, set out in yesterday's decision notice, means mitigation measures recommended following a noise assessment must be implemented before anyone moves into the new homes.
