A man has been fined £199 pounds for possessing a knife in a public place.
Joseph Evans, 29, of Gullimore Farm in Sandy Lane, Watford, is also required to do 120 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
On January 1, 2023, Evans was found to have a folding pocketknife, which had a blade where the cutting edge exceeded three inches, in The Duchess pub in Dover, Kent.

He was unable to give a “good reason or lawful authority” for possessing the item and the police seized it.
Court documents released on September 14 revealed that Evans pleaded guilty on September 7 at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court.
He has to pay his fine by October 10, 2023.
Cocaine
In an unrelated incident, a man from Watford pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine.
Darren Guthrie, 36, of no fixed abode, YMCA, Charter Place, was found to have two wraps of cocaine in Watford on July 17.
He was ordered to pay a fine of £120 at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on September 8, according to court documents released last week.
He has until October 6 to pay the money.
He was also ordered to pay an extra £40 after he pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to the police on August 18 while he was released on bail in relation to the July 17 proceedings.
