Police have warned motorists to avoid an area after a vehicle broke down causing heavy traffic.
Chalk Hill (A411) is currently closed by Herts Police as they deal with the breakdown.
“We would ask you to please avoid the area at this time as the road is closed,” the force added.

The closure is causing significant delays for motorists around the nearby Bushey Arches, according to Google Maps, after Hertfordshire County Council had already warned drivers in the area of increased traffic due to works in Lower High Street, Watford.
There are multi-way temporary signals in place in Lower High Street while Cadent carries out utility repair and maintenance works, which are set to last until Tuesday September 19.
Chalk Hill is the turning towards Bushey from Bushey Arches, by The Victoria pub.
Watford Police issued the warning to avoid the road via the local force’s social media pages as traffic built this morning.
Update: Herts Police have confirmed a lorry broke down due to damaged tyres. Police and highways teams remain in attendance.
It is believed the breakdown could cause "a prolonged closure" until the lorry is recovered.
Nobody has been hurt.
