A cat has been injured after being shot with air pellets in Bricket Wood.
The incident took place in the Rowan Close area between Friday, September 1, and Monday, September 4.
The "nasty injuries" included a displaced hip, with the animal now requiring surgery.
Hertfordshire police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

PC Joanna Busch said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and I am urging anyone with information to please come forward.
“The cat was taken to the vets and suffered some nasty injuries, including a displaced hip, and now requires surgery.
