Police have appealed for witnesses after reports of a Hertfordshire affray involving knives and hammers.

Just before 9pm last night (September 13) Hertsmere Police confirmed officers remained at the scene in Borehamwood, having been called to Milby Court, Leeming Road, with reports of the "affray between a group of people with weapons, including knives and hammers” at 4.55pm.

DC Ben Nash said: “We understand people living locally may be feeling concerned, but I’d like to reassure them that we are currently on scene investigating and police officers remain in the area with enquiries ongoing.

“We’d like to ask any witnesses to get in touch and if you have been in the area please check your dash cam and CCTV footage.”
