The road outside a train station is set to be closed for “major” roadworks later today.
From 7pm today (September 14), Station Road in Rickmansworth will be closed to traffic while Virgin Media carries out repairs.
According to Hertfordshire County Council the “major” utility works are “essential” and are set to last until 11pm.

One Network shows that Virgin Media will be repairing a damaged chamber in the carriageway.
The one-way street leads to Homestead Road, from which Rickmansworth train station and the CitiPark car park are accessed from the High Street, and is used by buses.
A diversion route will be in place using Church Street, Riverside Drive, Rectory Road, and Homestead Road to go around the town centre.

Other Rickmansworth closures
Church Street, Rickmansworth, is due to be closed overnight on September 18 to allow Thames Water to carry out sewer cleaning close to the junction with Batchworth Roundabout.
The closure is due to start at 10am and last until 5.3am on September 19.
A lane will be closed on both sides of Rectory Road, Rickmansworth, from September 19 to September 20 to replace a damaged central reservation.
