A popular park event has been cancelled ahead of this weekend over heat fears.
Bushey Fun Dog Show, held in King George Recreation Ground, Bushey, will not go ahead this weekend after the UK Health Security Agency issued an amber warning lasting until 9pm on Sunday evening in nearly every area of England.
The event was scheduled to be held from 11am on Sunday (September 10) and would have lasted four hours.

A notice on the Friends of King George Facebook page says: “We’re really sorry but given the extreme heat predicted for this weekend and in the interest of the welfare of humans and dogs attending Bushey Fun Dog Show, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel this event.
“We know this may be disappointing, but we hope you can appreciate that our priority is the safety of everyone on the day.
"Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
In the annual show, the tops three pets are awarded prizes across 10 categories. An overall 'best in show' is also chosen.
The UK Health Security Agency says its amber heat-health alert, which is separate from Met Office warnings, means “we may begin to see some health impacts across the wider population, and an increase in risk to health for individuals aged over 65 years or those with pre-existing health conditions, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases”.
