A busy road in Watford is due to be closed overnight for resurfacing works, while pathway reconstruction is set to cause disruption to a street in Croxley Green for almost a month.

The resurfacing is due to take place in Langley Road from September 18 and on the same day work is scheduled to begin on reconstructing the footway in Dickinson Avenue.

Roadworks are also likely to cause delays to motorists on other routes in Watford, Bushey and Rickmansworth as the list below, sourced from the One.Network website, shows.

This is a selection of some of the works planned to take place over the next two week:

- Delays are likely due to Cadent carrying out emergency gas works in Lower High Street, Watford, near to the junction with Local Board Road. The works are due to continue until midnight on Tuesday and multi-way traffic lights are in use.

- Langley Road, Watford, is set to be closed overnight from September 18 to September 23 for resurfacing works to take place. The closure is due to be in place between 8pm and 5am each day, with the work taking place from the junction of Molteno Road to the junction of St Albans Road.

- Dickinson Avenue, Croxley Green, will be closed to vehicles during the daytime for almost a month when pathway reconstruction work begins on September 18. The road is set to be shut from 7.30am to 4pm on working days and is due to last until October 13.

- Two-way traffic signals are set to be used to help the flow of traffic when Affinity Water carried out maintenance works in Little Bushey Lane, Bushey, between September 19 and September 22.

- A lane will be closed on both sides of Rectory Road, Rickmansworth, from September 19 to September 20 to replace a damaged central reservation.
