The cause of the Pond Post Office fire has been revealed as it undergoes refurbishment.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service has told the Watford Observer that the blaze was due to an accidental electrical fire.
It broke out at the site in The Parade, Watford, on April 7 at around 4.20am, with flames being dampened down and completely out by 6.20am.

Residents in the flats above were forced to evacuate.
A notice appeared in the front window stating the shop would reopen in July.
However, by the end of the month customers were still unable to use it.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “Work has started to carry out at the refurbishment and there is still a lot to do including reconnecting the electricity supply.
“Therefore, it is too early to say when the shop and Post Office will be able to re-open.”
The Post Office has been unable to find a new location and customers have been directed to nearby branches.
