A burglar or burglars smashed the front door of a home before ransacking it in a reported burglary.
Herts Police are investigating after a Tolpits Lane home being broken into, between 4.30pm and 11.06pm on Saturday (September 2), was reported.
Glass was smashed and the home was ransacked in a search of the address. It is not yet known if anything was stolen, police added.
Smashing the front door is believed to be how the offender(s) gained entry.
The force is seeking further information on the offence and anyone with information or relevant CCTV/doorbell camera footage can call 101 quoting crime reference number 41/70359/23.

Car theft
In a separate report being investigated by Herts Police, the force asked for anyone with information to call 101 quoting crime reference 41/70898/23.
Between 10.30pm on Monday night and 2.35am this morning (September 5) a silver Lexus was stolen in Prestwick Road, South Oxhey, between Kilmarnock Road and Woodhall Lane.
The offenders left in an unknown direction after taking the vehicle and officers asked people in the area to check their CCTV and dash cams.
