A golf driving range could become offices after a planning application after a planning application has been made.
If the plan is approved, a prospective tenant would be able to change the use class at Bushey Driving Range on the lower ground floor of Bushey Country Club to offices and build a brick wall with windows looking out towards the field.
According to the applicant, the current tenant’s lease is set to expire “offering an opportune moment to re-evaluate the use of the lower ground floor space and align it with the evolving demands of the market”.

It has not yet been confirmed that Bushey Driving Range will close, and the plan is awaiting a decision from Hertsmere Borough Council after appearing on the planning portal this week.
The Watford Observer has contacted both the driving range and the country club for more information. Update to follow.
The application says: “In conclusion, we believe that the conversion of the golf range into a modern office space will bring about numerous benefits to both the club and its members.
“We are eager to work in collaboration with the management team of Bushey Country Club to ensure a seamless and successful transformation.”
