A major Watford road will close later today as the cause of reported flooding is investigated.
From 10pm tonight (September 4) until 5am tomorrow St Albans Road will be closed between Balmoral Road and Leavesden Road.
It is then set to be shut between those times each day until Friday morning at 5am.

- Fire station raises £500 for firefighter who may never walk again
The work follows reports of "surface water flooding" and Hertfordshire County Council said it will be conducting these drainage works “to mitigate the cause” of the issue.
In a letter to nearby residents, the council added: “Findings from these works will be used to determine what future actions may need to be taken.
“To create a safe environment for the workforce and members of the public alike, the works will continue to be completed under temporary road closure.”
Highways is also expected to take the opportunity to fix some potholes in the road.
A diversion will be in place using routes including Hempstead Road and A41 North Western Avenue to link back up with St Albans Road.
