A road has closed due to emergency repair works in a popular village.
Hertfordshire County Council announced that Heronsgate Road at the junction with Dove Park in Chorleywood is under a “24/7 road closure”.
According to One Network the road will be closed until September 6 for Affinity Water to carry out utility repair and maintenance works.
HCC advised that delays are to be expected.
In a message from Affinity Water via the One Network website, it said: “We are currently carrying out essential maintenance in your area, this is on-going work to improve our service to you – usually there will be little disruption to road users during these types of works which can include stop tap replacements, meter fits, leak detection and fixes among others.”

While One Network suggests the entire road will be closed, Google Maps has marked it as a part closure.
It isn’t the only road in the village that is currently off limits. Part of Berry Lane is closed until September 4 while UK Power Networks carries out works on a new service connection.
