Motorists using some of the busiest routes in and around Watford may experience delays to their journeys due to planned roadworks in the next two weeks.
Works are planned in Rickmansworth Road, Exchange Road and Hempstead Road, while part of St Albans Road is set to be closed overnight for most of next week.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of some of the works planned to take place over the next two weeks:
- An ongoing road closure in Garsmouth Way, Watford, is due to remain in place until September 19 while Leep Electricity Networks install a new service connection. The closure is in force daily from 8am until 6pm.
- Drivers are being warned of delays when a section of St Albans Road, Watford, is closed overnight for most of next week for drainage investigation works. The road is due to be shut to vehicles between Leavesden Road and Balmoral Road from 10pm to 5am each night, from Monday to Friday, September 8. A diversion will be in place using routes including Hempstead Road and A41 North Western Avenue to link back up with St Albans Road.
- Motorists using Rickmansworth Road, Watford, may experience delays between Tuesday and Thursday while Affinity Water is carrying out maintenance work close to the junction with Harwoods Road.
- A lane is set to be closed in Exchange Road, Watford, for excavation works between 8am on Friday, September 8 and 5pm on September 10. The work will take place at the crossing junction between Lady’s Close and Kings Road.
- Maintenance work by Affinity Water is likely to lead to delays in Hempstead Road, Watford, from September 11 to 13 when a lane will be closed. The work is due to happen close to the junction with Stratford Way.
- A road closure is scheduled to be in place in Oxhey Road, Watford, near to the junction with Laurel Close from 9.30am to 2.45pm on September 11 for bollard replacement works.
