A driver has been arrested after his bus hit a man who is now in a critical condition in hospital.
Police confirmed that a 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He was arrested shortly after the bus hit a jogger in Porters Park Drive, at the junction with Grace Avenue, in Shenley yesterday (August 30).
The driver has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police officers and the East of England Ambulance Service attended the crash alongside the air ambulance.
PC Peter Hoddy, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: “Following the events of Wednesday morning, we are continuing with our investigation, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or has information to come forward.
“We particularly want to hear from the lady who was on the bus at the time of the incident as she may have vital information to assist with our enquiries.”
He called for anyone who lives or drives in the area to review their dashcam or Ring doorbell footage.
Information can be given to the police via 101, quoting reference ISR 97 of 30 August.
