Burglars forced their way into a Watford home and ransacked it, sparking a police appeal.
The break-in was in Cassiobury Drive between 7.30pm on Monday, August 7 and 9.30am the following day.
In an appeal released today (August 29), officers said the offenders also stole a number of items including jewellery worth around £1,000. A small quantity of cash was also stolen.
Detective Constable Debbie West, of the Watford local crime unit, said: “I initially would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this burglary.

“I also want to appeal to anyone who was in the area at any time during the two days.
“If you saw anything suspicious, please contact me as you might have vital information to support our investigation.”

Man jailed
In a separate incident, a man was jailed for four months after pleading guilty to five counts of commercial burglary and one count of attempted burglary
Ben Kempster, 40, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Sunday, August 27, after being identified as a suspect for crimes against businesses in the Watford town centre.
