Expanded double-yellow lines and pay and display areas could be set for an area beset by parking woes.
New amended plans followed an “informal” round of consultation on changes to the existing restrictions in and around Watford Road, Croxley Green, earlier this year.
They include double-yellow lines in Watford Road and Dorrofield Road, pay and display parking in Frankland Road, Hazelwood Road, Watford Road, and Winton Drive, extending double yellow lines in Hazelwood Road, introducing limited waiting places in Watford Road and Winton Drive, and replacing permit parking bays with a single yellow line in Watford Road.

- Plans to replace Camelot signs at Watford office after licence loss
The initial consultation was prompted by a direct petition from Watford Road businesses, near Croxley Station, asking for more flexibility and longer-term parking because customers have often struggled to find a parking space close enough to make visiting local businesses convenient.
Three Rivers councillor Paul Rainbow, who is responsible for transport, said: “Following helpful feedback, we have tweaked the proposed changes slightly to meet peoples’ concerns.
“Local businesses and residents must have excellent parking arrangements and we will endeavour to continue to listen and respond to clear calls for easier and available parking bays to enhance the visitor experience and attractiveness of the retail centre.
“Make sure you have your say on the plans. Residents and local businesses have until Friday, September 8, 2023, to comment on these amended proposals.”
