Pupils, parents and staff at a Rickmansworth school received a "fantastic set of results" on GCSE results day.
The Royal Masonic School for girls in Rickmansworth saw 97 per cent of students achieve between a 9 and 4, compared to the national average which is 68 per cent.
GCSEs are now marked from a scale of 1-9. In the new scale, papers marked 7 to 9 are considered As with those marked 4 to 6 considered Cs and Bs.
Grade 3 largely corresponds to a D with 2 and 1 reserved for Fs and Gs.
Headteacher Kevin Carson said: “This is a fantastic set of results from a large year group who have grown together through rising to tough challenges during Covid. I am so very pleased for the students, their parents, and teachers.”
One of the school’s students, Alissa achieved nine grade 9s, with the top grade in additional maths.
She said: “Everyone wants you to be interested in the subjects you study, and the teachers strive to help you do well. I’m really looking forward to enjoying more independence in sixth form at RMS.”

The Royal Masonic School for girls is a private boarding and day school in Rickmansworth for students aged two to 18.
