Drivers using some of the busiest roads in and around Watford may find their journeys delayed due to planned upcoming roadworks.
Eastbury Road, Hempstead Road and Watford Road are among the routes set to be affected by works in the next two weeks, while part of Clarendon Road is due to be closed on Sunday to allow window cleaning to take place.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of some of the works planned to take place over the next two weeks:
- An ongoing road closure is set to remain in place in Sarratt Road, Croxley Green, until September 3 while Cadent are renewing a gas pipe. A diversion is in operation.
- A diversion is set to be in place while a section of Clarendon Road, Watford, is closed on Sunday to allow window cleaning to be carried out. The work will be carried out just in from the junction with Station Road and the closure is set to last from midnight to midnight.
- Drivers using the A4125 Eastbury Road, Watford, adjacent to Oxhey Park, are being warned of disruption from Tuesday when Affinity Water begin works. This is due to carry on until September 4 and two-way traffic signals will be in place to help the flow of traffic.
- Delays are likely from Tuesday to Thursday while roadworks are carried out in Hempstead Road, Watford, between Tuesday and Thursday. The works are due to take place close to Russell Nursery and multi-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Drivers are also being warned of possible delays in Gammons Lane, Watford, from Tuesday to Thursday while Affinity Water are carrying out works. These are due to take place near to the junction with Courtlands Drive and two-way traffic lights will be used at this time.
- Motorists are set to experience delays in Watford Road, Croxley Green, when Affinity Water is undertaking repair and maintenance work on September 2 and September 3. Two-way traffic lights will be in use at this time.
- Multi-way traffic lights are set to be in operation in Leavesden Road, Watford, on September 4 while utility repair and maintenance works are carried out.
- Two-way traffic signals are set to be used in Park Road, Rickmansworth, when Virgin Media is carrying our repair and maintenance work from September 5 to September 7.
