The A41 between Hemel Hempstead and the M25 has now reopened following a six-vehicle crash yesterday (August 21).
Herts Highways was completing resurfacing work today on the southbound stretch near Kings Langley – with the northbound carriageway already open.
A county council spokesperson has confirmed the stretch has now reopened.
Six vehicles were involved in a “gruesome” crash yesterday at 10.10am, which saw a car crumpled between two lorries and three people injured.

A man, child and woman were trapped inside and later taken to hospital – the latter being airlifted with potentially life-changing injuries.
A 44-year-old man from Ilford, Greater London, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is currently still in custody.
Herts Police this morning appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage.
