Water was already in the pools and the final finishing touches were being applied ahead of the opening of an exciting new swimming pool complex in Watford.
We shared some pictures from our archive last month when construction work was still being carried out at Watford Springs.
These were taken at the end of January 1990 – and seven months later our photographer returned to the complex to get a glimpse of how it was looking shortly before its official opening.
