Grass cutting is due to take place along the road linking Watford town centre to the M1 this weekend, while drivers may also find their journeys disrupted by other planned roadworks in the coming weeks.

A lane is due to be closed on Stephenson Way on Sunday to allow the cutting to be safely carried out.

Elsewhere, delays are possible throughout next week when work is due to take place in Hampermill Lane, Watford.

- A lane is set to be closed on the A4008 Stephenson Way, Watford, for grass cutting on Sunday. The works are scheduled to take place from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

- Drivers are being warned of likely delays in Hampermill Lane, Watford, between Monday and Friday while Affinity Water carry out repair and maintenance works. Two-way traffic lights are due to be used at this time.

- Leep Electricity Networks are due to begin work on installing a new service connection in Berrygrove Lane, Watford, from Monday. The work is due to last until October 10 and multi-way traffic lights will be in use while the work is being carried out.

- Multi-way traffic lights are due to be used from Tuesday to Thursday while Affinity Water carry out repair and maintenance works in The Drive, Rickmansworth.

- A lane closure is set to be in place when works are carried out in Waterfields Way, Watford, from 8pm on August 24 to 5am the following day. The work is set to take place close to the roundabout linking to Stephenson Way.

- Motorists are being warned of likely delays when new bollards are installed on the B462 Aldenham Road, Bushey, close to the junction with Little Bushey Lane. The work is due to take place between 9.30am and 4pm on August 29 and ‘give and take’ traffic control will be in use at this time.

- Delays are likely in Clarendon Road, Watford, while Affinity Water carry out repair and maintenance works from August 30 to September 4. Two-way traffic lights will be in use during this time.

- Two-way traffic lights will also be used on August 30 in Bushey Hall Road, Bushey, when Openreach are carrying out works between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
