A motorcyclist has been hospitalised after a crash which closed part of a major road this afternoon.
Herts Police advised motorists to avoid the A41/Elton Way earlier today (August 16) after officers were called to the scene of a crash in the road, near Costco, at 12.08pm.
Two vehicles, a Honda motorbike and a Fiat, were involved and the motorcyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment.

At 1.25pm police warned motorists, via social media, to avoid the road closures they had put in place.
“We are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on Elton Way (A41) in Watford,” the force said.
“Road closures are currently in place and we kindly advise motorists to please seek an alternative route.”
The vehicle was recovered at 2.10pm and delays for motorists in the A41 had mostly cleared shortly afterwards.
The East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted for more information on the motorcyclist’s condition. Update to follow.
