A major road in and out of Watford will have 24/7 traffic lights for four days after emergency connection works began today.
Hertfordshire County Council Highways confirmed this morning (August 14) that Rickmansworth Road (A412) will have “emergency connection works" by Affinity Water, between the junctions with The Chase and Queen Mary’s Avenue.
According to One Network, the water supplier has permission to carry it out from 8.25am this morning until the end of Friday (August 18) and multi-way signals will be in place 24/7.

The works description says delays are “likely” and adds that an alternative route for pedestrians has been provided.
It is listed as being for “utility repair and maintenance works” and may finish before the end date for the permit, or the permit may be extended.
