There were delays on the M1 this morning after two vehicles were involved in a crash.
Police said they were called at around 10.40am to reports of a crash northbound between junctions 8 and 9.
The two vehicles involved were a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a black Hyundai Tucson.
Officers attended the scene, but nobody was injured.
The police said that the fire service was also called due to smoke coming out from one of the vehicles.
The crash caused one lane to close, and the National Highways Agency said normal traffic conditions will not resume until 12.45pm.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
It comes as there are two other incidents on the M1 northbound.
National Highways has reported that one lane is closed between junctions 10 and 11 due to a broken-down vehicle.
Another lane is closed between junctions 11A and 12 due to an accident involving and overturned vehicle.
