Police have warned residents in a Watford area to be aware of rogue traders.
Trading Standards have been receiving reports of “suspicious cold callers” seen in the Carpenders Park area this week (staring August 7).
As well as advising individuals to be aware, Herts Police asked them to be “neighbourly”.

An alert from the force’s OWL service said: “If any neighbours, particularly older or more vulnerable residents in your road, are having work done on their roof or gutters please be neighbourly and check if they're happy with the situation.”
Anyone who is concerned can call police on the non-emergency number 101 or contact Trading Standards via Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 0808 223 1133.
Carpenders Park has been a “No Cold Calling Zone” since 2006 and so there should not be any doorstep callers at all, police said.
Trading standards advise not engaging with tradespeople who knock on doors to find work. Instead, it is better to get recommendations from people you know or to stick to Trading Standards-approved tradespeople.
