A man has been arrested after reportedly being snared by paedophile hunters during a sting.
Herts Police have confirmed that a 29-year-old man from Brentford, Greater London, was arrested in Sydney Road, Watford, yesterday (August 8).
He was arrested on suspicion of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity but has been released on bail while the force continues to investigate.

Passers-by noticed a crowd in the road, and it is believed that a “paedophile hunting” group had been carrying out a “sting”.
The Watford Observer understands another "sting" was carried out in Watford yesterday afternoon but that this was related to a separate individual. Update to follow.
According to CPS, the offence of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity covers situations where sexual activity itself does not take place.
Non-penetrative activity carries a maximum sentence of 14 years imprisonment while a penetrative offence carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
