Planning permission for 31 ground-mounted solar panels on green belt has been approved.
They will be installed in Olleberrie Farm, Olleberrie Lane in Belsize, Rickmansworth.
According to the plans, the solar panels will be placed between a pond and some buildings.
It had the backing of the Sarratt Parish Council that said: “As far as we can tell there will be no negative impacts from this installation on the views of the area.
“We strongly support the installation of solar panels and the support by Sarratt Parish residents to the reduction of fossil fuel energy use and helping to move towards net zero in our area.”

However, on August 9, the Three Rivers District Council said permission is granted subject to several conditions.
The development has to start within three years from August 9.
It also has to maintain the openness of the Metropolitan green belt and if the solar panels stop being used to generate electricity within a 12-month time frame, the site has to be restored to its former condition.
