An application has been submitted asking if a bed and breakfast’s change of use is lawful.
Ricky Road Guest House in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, is currently registered as a hotel under Class C1.
Its owners have said that over time the property has been adapted for more rooms to have self-catering facilities, which means they are now used as apartment lets as opposed to a traditional hotel.

On August 7, they asked Watford Borough Council if the premises can remain in the C1 class use as apartment lets because guests will not be staying at the premises for a period of over 90 days.
The guest house offers two-bedroom serviced apartments for up to six people starting at £199 per night for two guests.
Single, twin and family rooms are also available starting from £70.
An executive studio room with a small kitchen starts at £125.
The guest house also has a Harry Potter themed room called the Wizarding Studio Room starting at £160 per night for up to three guests.
