Resurfacing works are underway in a Watford road once labelled the town’s “worst” for potholes, as pictures show the progress so far.
Gammons Lane in North Watford, home to Beechfield School, is undergoing 14 days of repairs having long been scheduled for full resurfacing.
It started yesterday (July 31) and is set to continue until August 17 as workers move up the road, closing it to traffic in stages.

Labour county councillor Asif Khan, who had long pushed for the repairs, said: “Great to see Gammons Lane finally getting resurfaced.
