Two people from Watford were arrested after allegedly attempting to interfere with vehicles.
A man and woman, aged 31 and 27, remain in custody after being detained in the early hours of Monday, July 24.
It comes after Herts Police were alerted to two people trying car doors in Haydon Road, Oxhey.
Inspector Dan Jones, who leads the Watford Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We’re not wavering in our zero-tolerance approach to vehicle crime, as these two latest arrests demonstrate.”

There has been a recent rise in vehicle crime in the Watford area, according to Hertfordshire Police.
In west Watford last week, the Safer Neighbourhood Team tried 333 vehicle doors and found 11 unlocked.
Inspector Jones added: “It sounds obvious, but please triple check that your vehicle is locked before you leave it unattended, and don’t leave items of value inside. Help us to make it difficult for thieves in Watford.”
