A man in his 70s who was airlifted to hospital has died after being hit by a van.
The crash involving a grey Citroen van and a pedestrian was on the A405 near Chiswell Green at around 4.05pm on Monday, 26 June.
Police confirmed today (July 20) that the man died on June 29 and his family has been made aware.
The Citroen driver, a 43-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving, and has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Neil Crosier, from the road policing unit, said: “Following the sad news that a man has now passed away following the incident, we are issuing a further appeal to the public.

“Were you in the area at the time and saw what happened? Additionally, if you have a dash cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage that may help our investigation.”
At the time of the crash road closures were put in place between the A405 North Orbital Road roundabout and the B4630 Watford Road roundabout and Tippendell Lane.
