Thieves or a thief ransacked a vehicle that had been locked and secured.
A wallet and security box key were stolen, in Clyston Road, West Watford, at around 2.30am to 2.40am yesterday (July 14).
The vehicle had been locked, secured, and parked just outside the owner's property, but was still entered "by unknown means", Herts Police said.
The force, via a neighbourhood watch alert, asked for any information to be reported with the crime reference 41/56579/23.

Other recent thefts
One day later, at around 5.47am on July 15, a thief was recorded searching a car in Neal Street after reportedly smashing the window.
Last week, on July 5, there were thefts from vehicles in Chester Road, Harwoods Road, Fearnley Street, and Clifton Road.
Just days earlier a grey Audi Q2 was stolen from Rembrandt Way, West Watford, between 11.30pm on the Sunday night (July 2) and 7.31am the following morning.
Anyone with information or footage about the Audi can call 101 quoting crime reference 41/53291/23.
