A North Watford road will be shut over three days as “welcome” works take place.
Leavesden Road, between the junction with St Albans Road and just after the junction with Acme Road, is due to be closed from July 24 and July 27.
Hertfordshire County Council will be resurfacing the street and local councillors welcomed the news, after many locals had complained over the state of the surface.
- Man due in crown court over £5,000 burglary
- Air ambulances, cars flipping, dogs dying - round-up of serious crashes
- Expansion and electric vehicle points plan at service station refused
It will be closed from just past Acme Road to just past Victoria Road on July 24 and 25 and then between Stanmore Road and St Albans Road for the final two days.
Work will be underway between 9.30am and 4pm each day and residents’ cars will need to be moved outside the area by 9am each day.
The planned diversion route involves using The Harebreaks and Longspring.
Other nearby North Watford roads are also set for works. Provisional dates (July 31 to August 17) have been given for resurfacing in Gammons Lane while Sussex Road repairs which have been underway since July 6 are set to finish today.
North Approach will also be closed for works, near Moss Road and Greenwood Drive, between 9.30am and 4pm from July 13 to July 15.
