A Watford man will appear in crown court over a £5,000 gas canister burglary.
Lewis Gurton, of Rickmansworth Road, Watford, allegedly entered the Scanplus Print Group building in Imperial Way, Croydon, and stole a full gas cannister worth £5,000 on Sunday, July 2.
The 31-year-old appeared in Bexley Magistrates’ Court on July 4 and is next set to appear in Croydon Crown Court, on August 1, where he is expected to enter a plea.
He was granted bail, with conditions.

Also in court
Jason Turner, of The Crestway, Brighton, appeared in Brighton Magistrates' Court on July 3 after being charged with a burglary at the café Ocean Bells, in Watford High Street, on January 4.
He is also charged with possession of a pocket-knife and a silver knife in a sheath in Vicarage Road on the same day.
The 39-year-old had first appeared in court on January 5 but is yet to enter a plea after previous hearings were adjourned.
He is due to appear in Brighton Magistrates’ Court again on July 24, for a plea to be entered.
