A warrant has been issued after a woman charged over theft, assault, and criminal damage in Asda skipped court.
Yamama Njie, 25, was charged with the alleged crimes after Hertfordshire Constabulary were called to the St Albans Road supermarket at around 10pm on May 24.
It was reported that a person had attempted to take items without paying, smashed a glass door, and assaulted a member of security.
Njie, of no fixed abode, had been due to appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on June 30 but the court confirmed that she did not attend and so a fail to appear warrant was issued.
This morning (July 4), Herts Police confirmed this was still the case.
