A woman was seriously injured during an assault on a bus in Watford.
Herts Police today (July 3) appealed for witnesses after the attack on a 321 heading towards Rickmansworth at around 5.50pm on Sunday, June 4.
Officers said it involved a confrontation between a man and a woman, 35, adding: “During the altercation, the woman sustained a serious injury to her shoulder and bruising to her arm.
“The man then reportedly left the bus on St Albans Road, close to the junction with Salisbury Road.”
The two people involved are not believed to know each other, a police spokersperson confirmed.
The attacker is described as a white male, approximately 70 years old, 6ft tall, with white hair that came down to his neck and a white, full-face beard.
He was wearing a dark T-shirt and dark jogging bottoms.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Hern, who is investigating, said: “The bus was carrying several passengers at the time of this incident, several of whom tried to intervene.
“I am asking these people to please contact us as you may have vital information that could progress our investigation.”
