A high street shop is set to close this year after a sale was launched.
“Closing down” signs were put in the windows of Shoezone, in The Parade, Watford, last week as sales were introduced to sell stock.
The Watford Observer understands the store is set to close completely, rather than move to a new location in the town, and will be shut in around five to six months.

Nationally, the company has described trading as “particularly strong” in the last few months with shares rising by 11% as it raised expectations in a profit guidance update earlier this month.
Other recent Shoezone closure announcements, in Newport on the Isle of Wight, Southend in Essex, and Skegness in Lincolnshire, have been paired with announcements or speculation about replacement locations in the same area but this has not been indicated for Watford.
The value footwear retailer’s national office has been contacted for comment and confirmation.
