King Charles III’s Birthday Honours list has been released today with people of all backgrounds being recognised for their efforts.
This is the second honours list of his reign, the first being the New Year Honours list at the start of 2023.
Lennox Nembhard, from Watford, has been named an MBE - Member of the Order of the British Empire.
The Home Office’s chief immigration officer has been recognised for public service to diversity.
He told the Watford Observer: “I am delighted, and humbled, to receive this honour.
“I see it as recognition of the crucial and often unsung role played by civil servants, alongside our colleagues in law enforcement and the intelligence services, in keeping the public and our country safe.

“It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with them all in my 43 years in the civil service.”

- Patricia Mary Harrison, from Kings Langley, is recognised for her services to the community in Chipperfield, Hertfordshire, particularly during Covid-19.
- Watford coach, Bryan Frederick Smith, recognised for services to athletics.
Commanders of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)
- Chair of Industrial Development Advisory Board, Kevin Brendan Taylor, from Kings Langley, was recognised for services to business and to the economy.
Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)
- Rosalyn Carol Chalmers, from Watford, has been recognised for services to the arts and to people with sensory impairments.
- The manager of Totally Different Playscheme in Bushey, Hertfordshire, Frances Elizabeth Davies, has been recognised for services to children and young people with special educational needs.
- Paul Anthony Roach, from Kings Langley, has been recognised for services to the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. He is the town manager for Windsor, Eton and Ascot and deputy chair of Ceremonial Events Planning Group for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Rickmansworth’s Jane Elizabeth Scott has been recognised for services to bereaved parents. She is the divisional bereavement project lead midwife at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and lead and founder of National Bereavement Midwives’ Forum.
