Work is underway to prepare the five-acre site where a day care for dogs will be opening this summer.
Battlers Green Farm, in Radlett, will be home to the newest branch of Bruce’s, a company that looks after pets during the day and keeps them engaged with a range of activities.
A bus will pick up animals from home in Watford, Shenley, Radlett, Borehamwood, Bushey, Harrow, or Edgware and drop them off at the Common Lane location, set to open in August, before taking them back again.
- Flats for fire-damaged mobile home site withdrawn after objections
- Watford High Street closed for 'emergency' repair works
- Family-run shop Sweet Time in High Street, Watford to close
Managing director Ben Mann said: “We’re incredibly excited to be opening in such a lovely setting at the Battlers Green Farm Shopping Village.
“The dogs here are in for a real treat as we have upcycled a farming silo to a high standard that will provide amazing indoor space to compliment the beautiful fields that they will play in.
“Our team are extremely proud of this centre.”
Dog training and grooming will also be available.
Memberships cost between £45 and £33 a day, depending on how many days per week are booked.
The bus service costs an extra £4.
